Looking for a Summer Volunteer Program? — The Philadelphia Zoo is looking for teen volunteers interested in animals and conservation. ZooCREW or Zoo Champions for Restoring Endangered Wildlife has been a volunteer program at the Philadelphia Zoo since 2006. It’s for students 14-18 years old. FRESHMAN/ SOPHOMORE DANCE TICKETS:  FRESHMAN/SOPHOMORE DANCE TICKETS are on sale now until TODAY,Wednesday, March 22, in the Finance Office. The dance is Friday, March 24 from 7 - 10pm.  Stop by with your parent permission slip at your lunch period.  Single tickets are $20 and Couples tickets are $40.  Don't miss this special dance with your classmates!

ANNUAL PHILLY SPORTS EXTRAVAGANZA RAFFLE:  The Business Class is kicking off its "Annual Philly Sports Extravaganza" raffle. Prizes include game tickets and parking passes to a Phillies, Sixers, and Flyers game.  The price of chances are one for $3, three for $5, eight for $10, and twenty for $20. The drawing will be held on March 30, 2017.  Look for information posted around the school for details or ask any student you know taking the class. Chances will be available for sale on this Tuesday and Thursday at lunch periods.

OPERATION RICE BOWL:
It’s that time of year again! From the beginning of Lent until Friday March 24, CSC will be collecting any donations and spare change you have in your theology class. The money collected will be given to the Catholic Relief Services, an organization that helps those in need.  So do a small act of kindness and a meaningful sacrifice in your theology class, by donating change that will help someone greatly.

PARK CLEANUP:Want to help save the Earth? The Philadelphia Street Department and other organizations are coming together and are hosting a park cleanup of Hunting Park on Saturday, April 8th from 9 AM – 2 PM.  If you are interested, you can sign up on the 2nd floor CSC board and pick up a permission slip.  You do not have to bring anything, they will provide equipment and gloves, all you need to do is show up.  Please return the completed permission slip on Wednesday, April 5th to Ms. Stankiewicz in room 165.  This is a great service opportunity to do with your friends, so let them know and meet new people.  Hope to see you on April 8th.

LIBRARY NEWS:  1.  Don’t judge a book by the movie ~ READ THE BOOK FIRST!   We have plenty of books which have been made into movies. You be the judge!                            
2. All Students, Staff and Faculty ~ stop by the library and fill out a book recommendation Slip to help us with a display for April.  I bet we have your Book!

3. Each year the world remembers the loss of 6 million lives on Holocaust Remembrance Day, which this is why it is commemorated on April 23. You can get a sense of the Holocaust by reading a book so, check out the book display remembering the Holocaust in the library. Read and remember.
